Job Purpose

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of “The Client”. The Analyst is the main link between business and IT and as such must have skills within both areas. Strong communication skills are required to elicit requirements, deliver on solutions and resolve issues. Analyst will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage his/her time effectively. A friendly outlook on life with a can-do attitude. |

Key Responsibilities
|
Process
- Analyse and define Business requirements
- Produce Business Requirements Specification (functional, business rules, communications and other)
- Produce accurate mapping of “As is” and “To be” processes
- Assist in identifying project risks
- Track delivery of requirements and provide regular, continuous, and accurate feedback to project management team
- Participation in and sign-off of user acceptance testing, pilot, and production testing
- Produce User Stories (when required).
General
- Adhere to set process standards
- Define and design business solutions that meet customer requirements
- Ensure all deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, scope and quality (meeting The Client’s quality guidelines and standards)
- Perform efficient and effective JAD facilitation with relevant project stakeholders
Teamwork
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders
- Coach and mentor peers/juniors

Desired Qualifications

- Matric
- Business Analysis qualification
- Project Management qualification an advantage
- Product Owner qualification advantage

Required Experience (relevant or in a similar role)
|
- 5 or more years Business Analysis experience
- 3 or more years within a SLDC/Agile
- Experience in Insurance industry preferred.
