Job Overview:
Our client headquartered in Sandton, is a leading integrated property services and facilities management company operating across South Africa, Africa, the Middle East, and the UK. We are seeking an experienced SAP Real Estate Functional Lead with in-depth expertise in SAP RE-FX and FI/CO modules to join our enterprise applications team. This role will be responsible for leading end-to-end functional design, implementation, configuration, and support of the SAP Real Estate solution, ensuring seamless integration with financial and controlling processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other SAP functional teams to support business transformation, system enhancements, and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and functional lead for SAP RE-FX (Flexible Real Estate Management) and its integration with FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling).
- Lead full lifecycle implementation and support of SAP RE-FX solutions, including blueprinting, gap analysis, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver robust, scalable SAP RE-FX solutions.
- Manage the RE-FX contract lifecycle, valuation, asset leasing, space management, and condition-based contracts.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 lease accounting standards within SAP.
- Integrate RE-FX with FI/CO processes, including asset accounting, cost centres, internal orders, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor junior consultants and serve as the key liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Coordinate with SAP Basis, ABAP development teams, and external vendors to ensure system stability and performance.
- Support change management, user training, and documentation of functional designs and process flows.
- Stay abreast of SAP best practices and updates related to RE-FX and FI/CO.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or related field, PREFERABLE
- Minimum of 7–10 years of SAP functional experience, with at least 5 years in SAP RE-FX and strong working knowledge of SAP FI/CO.
- Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP RE-FX implementations.
- Deep understanding of IFRS 16, lease-in and lease-out processing, and financial integration.
- Strong functional configuration experience with Contracts, Valuation, Condition Types, Measurement Data, and RE-FX Master Data.
- Familiarity with integration points between RE-FX, FI/CO, AA (Asset Accounting), and PM (Plant Maintenance) is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- SAP certification(s) in RE-FX or FI/CO is highly advantageous.

- Effective communication and presentation skills to influence decision-making at senior levels.
Remuneration:
- Base Salary Range: ZAR 900 000 – 1.2 million per annum (CTC)
- Bonus/Performance Incentives: Typically 10–20% for permanent roles, depending on company structure
- Hybrid Work Options may be available
- Location: Johannesburg, South Africa – FULL TIME IN OFFICE DURING PROBATION
