Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team, specialising in IT Contract recruitment. This role is a hybrid of sales and account management, focused on placing IT contractors into short- and long-term projects for client organisations, often sitting on-site at third-party client locations.

You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from client acquisition and relationship management, to sourcing, placing, and managing a large bench of IT contractors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with a passion for IT talent acquisition, business development, and project staffing at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the IT contract recruitment market.
  • Sell IT contracting services to both new and existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers.
  • Build and present tailored staffing solutions to meet client project demands.
  • Negotiate contract terms, rates, and service level agreements.

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client accounts, including those where contractors are deployed on-site.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships to ensure service excellence and contractor satisfaction.
  • Understand and anticipate client needs to proactively provide relevant IT talent.
  • Run and scale large projects with high volumes of IT contractors.

Recruitment & Contractor Management

  • Source, screen, and place high-quality IT contractors across a wide range of roles (developers, engineers, architects, analysts, etc.).
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and manage all recruitment compliance requirements.
  • Onboard and maintain regular communication with contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve any contractor-related issues quickly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT contract recruitment, with a strong track record in both sales and account management.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects or accounts with multiple IT contractors.
  • Strong understanding of the IT landscape, including key roles, technologies, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Based in Cape Town, with willingness to visit client sites when needed.

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous experience working on-site at a third-party client or in a managed services/RPO environment.
  • Experience using recruitment CRMs and sales tools.
  • Understanding of compliance and labour law in relation to IT contracting in South Africa.
