Senior DevOps Engineer

Must be a Microsoft Azure DevOps / DevSecOps specialist.

The environment is On Prem, and Microsoft Azure

The role is a DevSecOps senior consultant that sits in the network and system engineering team, not on the development side, so the focus is more on the system engineer DevSecOps skills.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Senior System / Network cloud engineer skills – 10 years plus exp of which at least 2 or 3 must be focused on Azure
2. Strong understanding of Azure from an IAAS and SAAS perspective
3. Strong understanding of Windows Server (and ideally Linux) including Azure virtualization – Azure VMs, Docker etc.
4. Understanding of Azure networking, subnetting, security and tools such as Microsoft InTune and Microsoft SCCM
5. Azure and on-prem Active Directory
6. Some Azure Resource costing and optimization understanding
7. Disaster Recovery, backups etc. on Azure
8. CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (other tools knowledge also useful – e.g. Chef, Ansible, Puppet etc. but all current CI/CD work currently done on Azure DevOps)
9. ARM Templates (Azure Resource Manager)
10. Ideally some MS Certification – e.g. Certified Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or more senior certs like Azure Solutions Architect Expert (but this is not necessary)

The Clients AU environment summary is as follows:

1. Duck Creek insurance system hosted on Prem and in Cloud (third party as far as we understood) – .NET based system and customization
2. Guidewire insurance system hosted in Cloud (third party as far as we understood) – Customization of Guidewire done in GoLang with many out of the box functions provided by Guidewire
3. given the choice, all internal custom dev work done on:
   1. .NET Core middle tier
   2. REACT and Angular front ends
   3. Azure cloud
   4. AzureDevOps CI/CD, Source control etc.
   5. Azure integration – Logic Apps and Azure API gateway for integration and services
   6. All integration into Guidewire and Duck Creek via web services / API
   7. BI Work – On prem at the moment on SQL Server BI Stack – SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and PowerBI – looking to move into Azure cloud
