About the role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented analyst to join our Data Operations team, focusing on product/brand mapping and data hygiene. The ideal candidate will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple sources, supporting reporting and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classify and map products/brands into internal taxonomies.
- Clean and format external product data using naming conventions and rules.
- Identify and resolve duplicates, mismatches, and inconsistencies.
- Perform manual/semi-automated validation using Excel and basic Python.
- Conduct anomaly detection and trend checks (Python for analysis, not automation).
- Collaborate with stakeholders on data hygiene improvements and documentation.
Requirements:
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, conditional logic, data cleansing).
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in repetitive/manual tasks.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to detect inconsistencies and anomalies.
- Basic Python for data validation and exploratory checks.
- Background with product/brand classification or FMCG/retail datasets (preferred).
- Clear written and verbal communication.
We’re looking for someone meticulous, analytical, and comfortable with hands-on data validation and classification.
This is a full time, remote role.
