The Client based in Sandton is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer for the Platform team who would be fully responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions. This role works collaboratively within a cross-functional product team to create and support rich, interactive applications that help consumers manage their data and processes. You are responsible for your area of specialisation, as well as for all aspects of product development from interacting with stakeholders and users, to design, development and deployment, through to production monitoring and support.
Experience, skill and capability
Essential Experience
- Min 5 years Software Development experience
- C#, .NET 4.6 and .Net Core
- SQL Server with good knowledge of SQL and T-SQL
- Source control and continuous integration
- WebServices – REST & SOAP
- A lean / agile development mind-set
- Test automation techniques and methods
Advantageous Experience
- Java skills
- Azure exposure
- TDD / DDD
- Event Sourcing / CQRS
- Deploying software to Cloud using architectural best practices
Education
- BSc in Computer Science or related field
