About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven SSRS Specialist to lead the development and optimisation of enterprise-level reporting solutions. Based in our office, this role is instrumental in delivering accurate, insightful, and timely business intelligence through SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders to turn data into strategic insights that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced SSRS reports and dashboards
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and translate complex reporting needs
Optimise SQL queries and report performance across large datasets
Review and enhance existing reporting infrastructure to ensure efficiency and scalability
Collaborate software developers, analysts, and IT to ensure data integrity and seamless data flow
Implement best practices for report development, version control, and documentation

Key Skills

Expert-level proficiency in SSRS and T-SQL development
Strong understanding of relational databases and query optimisation techniques
Proven experience delivering accurate and effective reports in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to lead technical discussions and provide strategic input on reporting solutions
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks independently
Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and related reporting technologies
Comfortable working full-time in an office-based environment

Desirable Skills

Experience with Power BI or similar visualisation platforms
Familiarity with SSIS/SSAS and ETL processes
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards
Exposure to Agile or Scrum project environments
